Mission: ARTS is founded on the belief that the performing arts organizations-from the smallest to the largest-deserve and need facilities that reflect their contribution to the community.
Program or Service: ARTS Center Stage, a nonprofit organization, was formed to create and manage a state-of-the-art multi-venue facility that will host the broad spectrum of Austin's performing arts organizations.
Outcomes: Austin, Texas has a very active performing arts community but lacks adequate performance space for these organizations. When the Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long Center for the Performing Arts in 2004, Austin performing arts groups will have access to affordable, high-quality performance spaces, which will allow them to mature and expand their outreach activities to new audiences - most importantly to school children.
