| Mission: | ASSISTANCE LEAGUE of Austin is a nonprofit organization of volunteers dedicated to addressing specific needs in our community through practical and innovative projects. |
| Program or Service: | Operation School Bell-a week's set of new clothing given to AISD children in need.
Bus With Us-seniors are provided a free bus trip on a scenic, interesting day trip.
Assault Survivor Kits-rape/assault survifors are given clothing and hygiene aids.
Toy Cart at Children's Hospital-a gift of a book and a toy are given to young patients, siblings and children who are visitors.
"Because We Care" Bears-a huggable stuffed bear is given to traumatized children in the emergency room at Children's Hospital.
Occupational/Technical Scholarships-full tuition, books and fees are paid for non-traditional students at ACC.

| Outcomes: | In 1999-2000 ASSISTANCE LEAGUE of Austin served:
183 assault survivors given ASKits.
1035 senior citizens taken on scenic outings with Bus With Us.
2073 students at 80 AISD schools and 2 Del Valle schools clothed through Operation School Bell.
12 students at ACC given Occupational/Technical Scholarships (19 students for Fall 2000).
10 Day Care Scholarships to ACC Children's Lab School
12,000 children at Children's Hospital with gifts from Toy Cart.
744 traumatized children at Children's Hospital Emergency Room given "Because We Care" bears.
Thousands with Calendar Service through our AROUND AUSTIN Community Calendar.
In Addition:
1700 Del Valle school children were given school Spirit Shirts.
200 Greater East Austin Youth Association T-ball participants and 75 "At Risk"girls softball players were given new team shirts
