Charity Description
Mission: To inspire and enable all young people, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.
Program or Service: Boys & Girls Clubs offer positive alternatives during non-school hours to children who are surrounded by negative influences, showing them how to live successful and productive lives. Boys & Girls Clubs give their members, ages 6-18:

· A safe, positive and fun place to be after school and on school holidays – prime times for youth involvement in gangs and other undesirable activities

· Comprehensive youth development programs, designed to assist young people in developing character, nurturing their talents, self-esteem, and drive, and exploring and enhancing their future. Each program is run according to the Boys & Girls Club’s youth development strategy, which is to promote and enhance the development of young people by instilling a sense of competence, a sense of usefulness, a sense of belonging, and a sense of power or influence.

· Regular interaction with dedicated trained professionals who can provide guidance in adopting healthy lifestyles and pursuing educational objectives, and who are able to serve as long-term, consistent, caring mentors in our members’ lives

· Boys & Girls Clubs equip young people with the skills they need to resolve conflicts peacefully, improve relationships within every aspect of their day-to-day lives, and function as responsible citizens
Outcomes: The Clubs are very successful at reaching a diverse and very low income population. We serve around 2,500 youth per year through our three clubs, of whom 59% come from below the federal poverty level, 64% come from single-parent, foster or group homes, and 23% live in public housing.

According to our most recent member surveys our members are showing improvement in their core competencies, as follows:
Educational (85% show improvement),
Technological (88%),
Social (86%), Emotional (71%), Cultural (91%), Positive self-identity (78%), Community and civic involvement (75%), Healthy lifestyle (81%), Moral compass (82%).
Events Hosted: Spring fundraising luncheon.
