| Additional Information: | Since our beginning in 1905, H-E-B has been involved in making the communities we serve a better place by investing in many civic and charitable causes. H-E-B is proud of the fact that we annually contribute five percent or more of our pre-tax income to organizations that perform exemplary services and works in the area where we operate.
While there are not specific guidelines, H-E-B typically contributes to only those organizations that maintain a 501(c)(3) designation as a bona fide nonprofit entity. We limit our giving to organizations that operate within the immediate H-E-B marketing area. We contribute either product or cash, depending on the need. Our major areas of interest include, but are not limited to education, hunger awareness, economic opportunity development, recreation and the arts. As a rule, we do not typically provide funds for physical plant investment. Instead, we favor programmatic activities, projects and causes that make a visible and positive difference.
The non-profit should complete a Community Investment Program Applcation to be considered for funding. You may request this form via fax or e-mail. This form is also available from your H-E-B store manager. |
