Charity Description
Mission: Dedicated to end homelessness by providing safe, affordable housing for those working to achieve independent living;

We acquire and develop housing, refurbishes substandard housing and administers transitional housing to homeless and at-risk families and individuals;

We also create alliances and networks with other organizations to maximize resources, increase coordination and avoid duplication of services.
Program or Service: "Transitional Housing Program" - Community Partnership owns and operates several houses for single male and female veterans. The agency maintains the houses, pays insurance, taxes and utilities and provides individual voice mailboxes, bedroom and common living space furniture, dishes, washers and dryers,and computers and food pantries in each house.

"Affordable Housing Program" - We also own and maintain various multi-bedroom houses and duplexes providing low-rent living accomodations to at-risk working families. Tenants pay rent based on their income, not to exceed 30% of their take home pay.
Outcomes: Virtually every category of services measured by the Community Partnership for the Homeless reflects wild success.

Here is just a snipet from 1999:

100% over goal - the number of veterans with safe, secure housing upon leaving our transitional program.

60% over goal - the number of veterans showing increased independent living skills.

123% over goal - the unduplicated number of veterans served

17% over goal - the number of veterans with employment upon leaving transitional housing program.
Events Hosted: "Party on the Plaza - A Decade of Caring" - The Official Tenth Anniversary Party of the agency. This will also be the evening where a new collaboration will be announced and the unveiling of new logo and success stories will be take place. Winter, 2000.

"Parties in the Sky" - A new and unique event scheduled to kick-off in 2001 where unique evenings of music and dining are planned at unique venues - Austin roof-tops!
