| Mission: | The Lions Eye Bank of Central Texas, Inc., is a nonprofit corporation dedicated to the preservation of sight through the collection, processsing and distribution of human ocular tissue; progress in medicine through the support of research; and the sponsorship of educational programs for the medical community and general public. |
| Program or Service: | Procure, evaluate and distribute human eye tissues for transplant; public education (community health fairs, school programs, civic group presentations) regarding eye donation and sight restoration; providing surviving family members with information and the opportunity to donate eye tissue; providing learning opportunities for healthcare professionals; assistance to hospitals regarding compliance with state and federal regulations regarding donation. |

| How to Donate: | Tax deductible contributions may be made by cash, check or credit card to Lions Eye Bank of Central Texas. Donations may be general or, (1) to the Eye Bank's Vision for the Future Building Fund; (2) to the Eye Bank's Endowment in the form of a $100 Life Membership; (3) to the Eye Bank's Endowment in the form of a $1,000 contribution for a Shepherd Fellowship; (4) to the Eye Bank's Endowment as a member of the 20-20 Club with elections to contribute $150, $250, or $500 annually for 10 years. Memorial gifts and gifts in honor of special individuals may be given to any of the previously mentioned funds; or, may be made for specific equipment or Memorial Garden purchases. All donations should be sent to Lions Eye Bank of Central Texas, P. O. Box 347, Manor, Texas . All individuals are encouraged to discuss organ, eye and tissue donation with family members. Giving the gift of sight helps two people regain their vision.
