| Mission: | Our mission is to provide a center for young adults with disabilities that will enhance their quality of life by offering the expressive arts. |
| Program or Service: | The Marnie Paul Arts Center offers music, visual art, and dance/movement therapy to disabled young adults. We offer both individual and group therapy sessions. We also provide recreational classes in clay and art. |
| Outcomes: | For individuals with disabilities, the arts promote growth in creative self-expression, social awareness, physical coordination, cognitive capabilities, coping strategies, life skills, self-esteem and self-confidence.
Our target population is young adults ages 18 to 35, but as the need progressed, we areng up our services to both younger and older individuals. |
| Events Hosted: | This summer, MPAC held a fundraising event at the art center to raise funds and awareness of our organization.
We also have parties twice a year, once in the spring and once in December, to showcase our clients progress. We have dance performances, singing and instrument playing, and art displayed. |
