Charity Description
Mission: The Peer Assistnace Network of America (PAN America) is a nonprofit organization founded in the belief that our young people are a valuable but underutilized resource. Our mission is to tap into this resource, through the systematic engagement of young people in a broad range of helping roles.
Program or Service: Our primary focus is to work with school districts that are prepared to take peer assistance seriously. First, we help affiliated school districts build a strong and effective peer mentoring program. Then we help them use the program as a foundation for structuring a wide variety of related peer assistance and youth empowerment opportunities. For example, we help create opportunities for youth to serve as a resource in environmental education, prevention education, and school reform.
Outcomes: PAN America works with over 170 school districts throughout Texas, helping students serve their peers, younger students, and their communities. Students gain confidence in themselves and their abilities to help others as they teach others the values of prevention, environmental advocacy, and responsibility.

How to Donate: If you are concerned with issues related to peer assistance, the environment, prevention and responsible choices, or school reform, you can make no better investment than helping empower young people. You will not only be helping to deal with the problem; you will also be helping our young people to understand that they are an integral part of the solution.
Please contact us toll-free at to discuss partnership and funding opportunities. Thank you.
