| Mission: | Planned Parenthood of the Texas Capital Region is dedicated to helping people make informed, private decisions in matters of sexuality, reproduction and parenthood. |
| Program or Service: | We provide a full spectrum of reproductive and sexual health care services to women, men and teens, in addition to extensive educational outreach and advocacy services. We operate four clinics and an education center serving Austin and 10-county surrounding area. |
| Outcomes: | Planned Parenthood's three Austin-area health center serve over 20,000 Central Texans each year. Our health education programs reach hundreds more young people and community members. Our advocacy efforts help protect access to health care and reproductive rights.
Planned Parenthood is a safety net for uninsured and under-insured women, men and teens in our community, providing vital family and preventive health care services. |
| Events Hosted: | Our annual public affairs luncheon each fall brings a high-profile speaker to Austin to speak on broad American themes. The 2003 luncheon featured Sidney Blumenthal. |
