| Mission: | Roy Lozano's Ballet folklórico de Texas, Inc. is dedicated to preserve and promote Mexican Folk dance and it's heritage as an art form. RLBFT is committed to serving the community of Austin and Texas and it's youth. |
| Program or Service: | Roy Lozano's Ballet Folklórico de Texas |
| Outcomes: | Youth outreach and service to youth at risk. Cultural awareness and Folk Ballet presentations throughout the City of Austin and the state of Texas. RLBFT currently serves the community of Austin by offering Beginner, intermediate and advanced classes to all age groups. We offer special scholarships for underpriveledged youth and youth at risk. the school currently serves around 100 childeren, and 50 youth and 40 adults through the Dance Academy. RLBFT serves over 500,000 people throughout Austin and the State of Texas by hosting special dance festivals. |
| Events Hosted: | The annual "Fiesta" show at the Austin Paramount theatre. Featuring 8 different Folk Ballets from Mexico. The annual "Discover" show which feature 6 folk ballets and special guests from Texas and Mexico. The annual "Lively Arts" show which benefits the City of Austin Independent School District and other districts with a reduced price show at the Paramount theatre. The show is produced in conjunction with the 3 grade Mexcian Cultural Studies at the Austin Independent School District. |
