| Charity Description |
| Mission: | Wildlife Rescue, Inc., serves the citizens of Central Texas through assistance with their questions, problems, and conflicts with native wildlife. WRI accomplishes that mission through (1) the operation of both a telephone hotline and email service to receive wildlife calls from the public, (2) trained volunteers to consult and refer the messages, (3) licensed rehabilitators to receive and care for orphaned and injured wildlife until they can be returned to a wild environment, and (4) educational programs designed to help eliminate or mitigate conflicts between humans and animals. |
| Program or Service: | Operate telephone hotline 472-WILD to receive calls from public re wildlife problems or questions, rehabilitate & release orphaned & injured wildlife, conduct educational classes & programs |
| Outcomes: | Serve the entire Central Texas region. Volunteers receive over 35,000 calls from public annually and answer or refer. Rehabilitators care for over 2500 injured or orphaned wildlife in homes annually. Conduct at least 30 presentations annually for other organizations. Work to establish permanent facility is underway |
