Charity Description
Mission: The Aienla Project is a 501 c(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of tribal cultures of northeast India. Personifying its humanistic approach toward the people of northeast India, the project is devoted to the principle that much can be learned from tribal cultures and that the artistic creations and customs of these people should be preserved for the sake of knowledge. Its intents and goals are centered on a preservationist motive that will benefit future generations.
Program or Service: The first objective of the Aienla Project is to continue bringing these cultures to local schools, youth groups, and those with disabilities by means of audio-visual presentations.

The second objective of the project is to develop a museum to house a cultural exhibit depicting the traditional lives and customs of the tribal peoples.
Outcomes: The Aienla Project is a resource that is dedicated to helping today's teachers expose students to different cultures and ways of life. Through its presentations, the project's intent is to introduce audiences to tribal indigenous peoples of northeast India, bridging the gap between cultures and societies across the world and enhancing multiculturalism.

The museum collection's material culture and photographs will foster an awareness that is at once personal and comprehensive. The general public and tourists will be given a rare glimpse of societies that continue to thrive within the secluded northeastern territories of India.
